Our evening meeting on Friday 16th June was in competition with the England v Sweden football match in Euro 2012 so there were few attendees. However, Geoff, Gill and Ken brought along small display cases to show what can be put together with fewer finds.
Reg had prepared two more display cases with two more being made at the moment – there will be four for sale and then no more will be made – so hurry if you would like to purchase one for £20 before they are all gone. Lesley talked about how to research and prepare a display about one object, her recent find of a John Stephenson machine plate.
We had a relaxed evening just chatting, drinking tea and eating biscuits! Ken, Gill, Geoff and Lesley were able to spent time talking with Stephen and David, relatively new members. David and Stephen also gained good places with finds in the competition judged on the evening.
