We had a great night at the Biggin Hill Squash Club, a new venue for our Christmas meeting this year. The food provided by the club was excellent thanks to the staff at the Squash Club. Members bought their own drinks from the bar.
We all made a donation to St. Christopher’s Hospice in exchange for a raffle ticket, I believe there were a good selection of 18 prizes. We enjoyed a couple of Ken and Gill’s fiendish quizes as well! We judged the Annual Find of the Year Competitions and congratulations go to:
Finder of the Year – Gill Askew (47 points)
Coin of the Year – Terry Wright (Tasciovanus gold quarter stater)
Artefact of the Year – Tim Baker (1600-1720 Double sub oval loop buckle)
Eyes Only fine of the year – Geoff Burr (Neolithic flints & Roman pottery)
Thank you to everyone who came and to the staff of the Squash Club who made the evening so special.
