On Saturday 28th September, the Club was represented at the North Kent Ploughing Match by:
Gill, Pierre, Josh, Alan and Geoff.
This was the first club display attended by new members Pierre, Josh and Alan.
These members put up the club tents (but found they were minus the sides!) and put out a selection of displays provided by Gill & Ken, Geoff, Pierre & Josh and retired member David at a farm in the Darent Valley. They entertained a number of the local farmers while the ploughing match was continuing. The weather was overcast and it was windy, the site being high up on the side of the valley. A number of tents belonging to others on the site were blown about and in one case blown over but the club tents were secured by the guy ropes and fortunately remained in place! Early in the afternoon it started to rain and so the group packed up the stand, as it was minus the side materials and letting in the rain!
