We had a good turn out for the excellent presentation on ‘Mudlarking’ by Ken and Gill with help from Jim. The talk started about the history of mudlarking and progressed to safety on the Thames foreshore, permits and regulations, equipment, mudlarker’s finds from The Museum of London and Ken & Gill’s experiences and their finds. The members could also look at an extensive array of Thames finds provided by Ken, Gill and Geoff. Jim also talked about his collection of Bellamine jug ‘faces’ found on the Thames foreshore and had brought along a number of examples for us to look at.
Thank you to Ken, Gill and Jim for the providing such an excellent evening’s entertainment.
